Why Preventive Care Matters for Men

Many men delay care until symptoms appear, but regular checkups and screenings can detect issues early, when they’re easier to manage. At Complete Care Physicians, we focus on keeping you informed, tracking your health over time, and helping you reduce your risk for chronic conditions.

What’s Included in Men’s Preventive Care

Your preventative care visit is tailored to your age, health history, and goals to get an overall assessment of your health and early disease screening. Common components include:

Health Risk Assessment

We review personal history, family health history, and your lifestyle habits.

Physical Exam

We check vital signs, listen to your heart and lungs, and assess overall physical health.

Screenings for Common Conditions

May include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and prostate health screening.

Cancer Screenings

We talk about recommended screenings for colorectal, skin, and other cancers based on your age and risk factors.

Mental Health Check-In

Mental health is an important part of overall well-being. We screen for concerns like stress, anxiety, or mood changes during your preventive visit. If more support is needed, we may recommend a follow-up to ensure you get the time and care you deserve.

Lifestyle and Nutrition Check-In

We briefly screen diet, exercise, sleep, and stress. This helps us identify areas that may benefit from follow-up or ongoing support.

A Visit That’s Focused on Your Future

Preventive care is an investment in your health and future. At Complete Care Physicians, we understand the health concerns men face and the importance of addressing them early. By taking small, consistent steps now, you can lower your risk for illness, stay active, and maintain the quality of life you want to have.

If you’re experiencing a problem, we’re happy to schedule a dedicated visit to ensure it gets the proper attention.

No. While we screen for mental health concerns as part of your preventive visit, the diagnosis, treatment, or management of mental health conditions is not considered preventive care.

These concerns are important, and we’re here to support you. If needed, we can arrange a separate visit to give this the attention it deserves.
