Starting a new school year comes with paperwork, supply lists, and plenty of to-dos. A school physical is an important part of that list. It helps confirm that your child is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and physically prepared to succeed in the classroom.
Complete Care Physicians can make the process simple. Whether it’s your child’s first school physical or just part of the annual routine, our team takes the time to check everything off and make the experience as easy as possible.
We perform a head-to-toe assessment including vitals, heart and lung function, posture, and basic vision and hearing checks if needed.
We don’t administer vaccines unless it’s flu. We’ll review age appropriate immunizations and order what’s necessary to the pharmacy.
We measure height, weight, and BMI, and review developmental milestones for your child’s age and grade level.
We know the back-to-school season is a busy one. That’s why we offer flexible appointment times to help families stay on track. If your child needs vaccines or a follow-up, we’ll help coordinate it quickly so they’re ready for the first day.

We live close to 2 hours away and the Doctor saw my daughter for a Physical. I wish we lived closer because this would definitely be her permanent doctor. She was amazing! Loving, nurturing and still very professional.Posted on Devyn (texan101)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was my 1st visit here! It was excellent. From the appointment scheduler, the check-in, Marrisa taking my “history” and “The Doctor!! All were very relaxed and personal. Each one showed they cared. Thank you!Posted on Katy ChildsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Patel went above and beyond during my first appointment at the practice. I left her office feeling like my concerns were heard and validated. With my previous experience of feeling like other doctors were just trying to get me out of their office, this was an amazing experience. I have a very complex case and felt like each one of my concerns was handled in the most appropriate way possible. Will be recommending this practice to anyone in need of care!!
An annual physical, typically covered by most insurance plans, focuses on important yearly screenings to detect silent health conditions and overall wellness. In contrast, a school physical centers on meeting school requirements and specifically screens for risks that could affect students during sports and physical activities.
We review the immunization records you bring with you—typically provided by your school or previous pediatrician—to ensure your child is up to date on vaccines. While we carry flu shots during flu season and can administer those in-office, for other vaccines, we will guide you on where to obtain them.
In most cases, school physicals must be scheduled separately from annual exams, sick visits, or medication refills. This allows us to give each concern the focused time and care it deserves.
If you’d like to address other issues during your school physical, please tell our staff when scheduling. If we’re able to accommodate it, we’ll adjust your appointment accordingly. Please don’t wait until the day of your visit to bring up additional concerns, as we may not have the time to address them properly.
We are closed from 12 pm – 1 pm for lunch. If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911. If it is a non-emergent issue, please call back during business hours.
All after-hours calls regarding medication refills or issues deemed non-urgent will incur a $50 fee.
