Shruja Patel, M.D.
Shruja Patel, M.D. is a board certified primary care physician who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a mechanical engineering degree. She then went on to earn her M.D. from the Medical University of Lublin before returning home to Texas to complete her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Patel has much experience working as a family and emergency physician at many Houston facilities. Her time as an emergency physician at the Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston allowed her to perfect her skills and manage minor traumas, as well as OB-GYN emergencies. Dr. Patel is committed to providing the best care with the most up-to-date practices for her patients. Though she specializes as a family physician, her well-rounded list of services allows her to manage and treat many different medical cases.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Patel likes to hang out with her family, travel, cook, read and learn about astronomy. She also enjoys staying active by hiking, dancing.
Poonum Patel, M.D.
Poonum Patel, MD is a native of Katy, TX and a proud graduate of James E. Taylor High School. She attended Baylor University in Waco, TX and had the privilege of partaking in international medical missions and helping to set up clinics in rural villages in Central America before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience.
Dr. Patel received her M.D at St. George’s University School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fort Smith, AR, where she enjoyed holistically building lasting partnerships with her patients to help them achieve healthy habits & stability with chronic medical conditions.
When she is not with her patients, you can usually find Dr. Patel drinking homemade hot cocoa, tending to her herb garden, baking, going on adventures with her sweet little dog, or spending time with her family.

April was born in Maryland but moved to Texas in 2014. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas – Arlington. After working in the Trauma ICU for 5 years, she studied at Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
April is trained to diagnose, treat, and manage acute/chronic illnesses, while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. She is passionate about establishing a comfortable and open patient-provider relationship.
When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys cooking and gardening.
Cesar Anthony Calvo, M.D.

Cesar Anthony Calvo, M.D. is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and went on to receive his M.D. from the University of the East Medical School in Manila, Philippines. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston and HCA Sunrise Health in Las Vegas, where he gained extensive experience in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, acute care, women’s health, pediatrics, and office-based procedures.
Dr. Calvo is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care with an emphasis on cultural competency and inclusivity. His broad training allows him to manage and treat a wide range of medical conditions while helping patients build healthier lifestyles.
When he isn’t seeing patients, Dr. Calvo enjoys traveling, staying active through fitness and outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his family.
